Saxon cierran la estupenda trilogía de discos iniciados con "Wheels of steel" con el que para muchos es el mejor trabajo de la banda. Sigue en la linea de su primer trabajo en el aire de clásico y supone su consagración definitiva.
Temas que ensalzan el rock y las motos como un estilo de vida. Basta con ver el título del disco y de un tema que es un auténtico himno: "Denim and leather", puro heavy. A destacar también la conocida y grandiosa "And the bands played on", otro clásico.

En la década del ‘90, corrían tiempos de escasa creatividad compositiva, dentro del Heavy Metal. En ese contexto, "Legends of Valor" de los norteamericanos Skullview resultaba un puñetazo en el medio de los dientes a todos los que pretendían desvirtuar al metal ochentero. Tomando elementos del U.S.Metal el grupo realmente deslumbró con este - su primer paso - que contenía 8 cañazos al viejo estilo, dotados de una garra sin igual y esa vieja "magia" que solo bandas de antaño supieron tener.

Banda de culto del metal americano de los 80, Cirith Ungol llevó los principios del metal más auténtico, mitológico, épico y fantasioso hasta el punto de convertirse en el mayor referente underground del género en USA junto a Manilla Road.
"One Foot In Hell" es para muchos el mejor LP de su no demasiado prolífica carrera, irremediablemente anclada en los '80s. Imprescindible para coleccionistas del género, desconocido para el gran público.

Una de las bandas más famosas de la primera mitad de los 80 fue esta banda de rock duro con reminiscencias glam de bandas como Slade, y que cosechó gran éxito gracias a álbums como este "Metal health", cuádruple platino en su momento.
Habiendo debutado en los 70 sin demasiado éxito, la reconversión hacia un rock directo y alegre les haría ser una de las primeras bandas en triunfar antes de la llegada masiva del hair metal. Un clásico.

Tercer disco de Leatherwolf, "Street Ready" es un magnífico disco de heavy rock/metal aguerrido, potente y tradicional, muy de los 80s -en una onda cercana a la NWOBHM (especialmente a Iron Maiden aunque con mayor variedad y efusión hardrockera en estribillos) pero con una muy buena técnica que ha hecho a algunos encontrar similitudes inlcuso en el progresivo- además del último que firmaría la banda antes de un prolongado parón hasta los últimos 90s. Su sonido es muy recomendable para amantes del heavy metal ochentero.
